The South Deep gold mine is owned and operated by Gold Fields and is located in South Africa. The mine is continuously trying to strengthen its ability to avoid collisions at EMESRT Level 9 as part of an ongoing project that is being carried out in collaboration with our sister Nerospec Group firm, Nerospec OSCON, which has its headquarters in Bromhof, Randburg. This terminology refers to technologies that intervene in terms of automated machine control in order to prevent or lessen the effects of a potentially dangerous encounter.
